![]() ![]() The first step is to build a gear set for the Mage Tower Timewalking challenge. What is the Best Gear for Mage Tower Timewalking? Players must be at least level 50 to attempt the Mage Tower Timewalking Challenge.Gear with item level lower than 120 does not get scaled up.Gear gets scaled down to item level 120.Consumables like Gems, Enchants, and Potions get scaled to level 45 as well.Players get scaled down to Level 45 during the Challenge.Mage Tower Enchants, Gems, Consumables Guide Once you're done gearing, you can head to our Enchants, Gems, and Consumables guide to learn more about how to improve your gear, including best enchants, best gems, best consumables, best drums, and much more. In this guide, we will cover all the pieces of gear you should obtain, what are the available options, and how to obtain them. The Mage Tower was originally a solo challenge introduced during the Legion expansion that rewarded special Artifact Weapon appearances to players that completed it. Completing all seven different challenges across different characters rewards the Mage-Bound Spelltome mount. For this timewalking version, completing the event rewards players with a different color of the T20 Mythic set from Tomb of Sargeras for the class they complete it on. It also works on Karam.īanish and fear both work on big add if you get one. With the addition of Legion Timewalking Event in Patch 9.1.5, Blizzard has added a new version of the Mage Tower, now using Timewalking scaling. Howl of terror is nice for oh crap moments, like soaking with adds on you. And note soon as you use it to interrupt it will run off to attack the interrupt target. Helps if your pet is on passive and parked in the mid somewhere so if can get there in time and will stay put. Interrupt macro to it, dot it up, vile taint if you can hit some adds also, wraith if you have time, drain life if it’s stacked up and spam corr if you have to run.įor soaks, you can put your pet on the soak. 2-3 dots plus running and spamming corruption on it will kill it in time.Īfter that it’s just a combination depending on how close Karam is. Cast corr on hand repeatedly while running, it does a initial cast damage don’t forget. While swapping back to Karam to CoE if needed.įor second hand Karam is closer by then, so corr, agony, interrupt, a third dot and by then you have to run. Didn’t try sac but may be good if pet keeps dieing.Īnyway for the first hand I would usually get corr, agony up, interrupt, then 1 addition dot: SL if talented or Vile taint or UA, and then either wraith it down or if talented ID, drain life at 50 stacks instead of wraith. Also tried a AC, seed and creeping death build (ended up kill Karam first P5, which enraged Raest and he shadow bolted me for 1500hp each SB to death, couldn’t heal threw it). P1 run Karam around the outside of yhe area and and out back somewhere so you have more time at p3 start and less puddles mid. Have enemy heath bars on so you can see your dots without having to target, it’s default hotkey “V”. One to target Karam and cast CoE, one for the hand and interrupt, and one for Raest and agony just so I could swap back to him easily. I used 3 targeting macros which helped a lot. ![]() Raest was still over 50% by then I think, so yeah. I had a crap ton of attempts last night, like 5 hours worth -_- It is definitely over-tuned now for aff.īest attempts I was 4 or 5 hands into P5, at which point they start overlapping with the soak and I would miss one or my pet would die somehow.
